Meet Coach Howe

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada youngest of 7 children.  I was born into a lacrosse family as my father played indoor lacrosse until the age of 44 and is in the Canadian lacrosse Hall of Fame.  Both of my older brothers also played lacrosse, and my brother Ted was recently inducted into the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame as a builder.

I started playing indoor lacrosse in St. Catharines from the age of 6, I played all my youth lacrosse in St. Catharines and I played 5 years of Jr. A for the St. Catharines Athletics.  During that time I was a 2 time League All Star and Top offensive player for the Athletics.  After Jr. A I played 9 years of professional lacrosse in Canada, playing for the Fergus Thistles, over that time we won 5 Canadian National Championships.  One of my most memorable moments was in 1987 we were playing for the Provincial  Championship, and we were down 7-2 after two periods, we ended up winning 9-8 and I scored 5 goals, 4 in the third period, and the last one with 10 seconds left to go.
